Insectos alrededor de mi camino | The insects around my way

En mi estancia en la residencia pensé mucho en los caminos que transité entre la colonia Mariano Escobedo y Zoncuantla durante este tiempo, quería de alguna forma incorporar los sonidos que escuche dia a dia, hacer un registro de ellos y definir los puntos en el espacio geográfico.

Realizar un pequeño mapa y poder escuchar el sonido que registre y la imagen fotográfica, como una especie de diario personal, pero al mismo tiempo es un registro de un espacio con mucha diversidad sonora y muy querido para mi.

Me resulta importante que medio el sonido uno puede tener referencias muy particulares de los espacios, una especie de paisaje sonoro.

También la oportunidad de descargar los sonidos y poderlos incorporar a cualquier tipo de proyectos en el futuro.

Realizar un tema personal, intentando mezclar y converger las grabaciones de campo conviven sónicamente con los que realice con los sintetizadores, en una pieza libre para su escucha y descarga también. Para mi fue como incorporar sonidos electrónicos en un ambiente orgánico,creados por las grabaciones de campo y tratando de coincidir en ciertas frecuencias que me evocan los insectos.

Me siento muy agradecida de haber tenido esta residencia en SER, un espacio maravilloso, que se preocupa por tener los medios, las conversaciones y el feedback necesario para la creación. Crear un espacio de mucho amor y amistad para que los caminos se crucen y se compartan asi como las disciplinas y con ellas la colaboración.

During my stay in the residency I thought a lot about the roads that I traveled between the Mariano Escobedo and Zoncuantla neighborhoods, I wanted to somehow incorporate the sounds that I heard day by day, make a record of them and define the points in the geographic space.

To make a small map and to be able to listen to the sound that I register and the photographic image, as a kind of personal diary, but at the same time it is a register of a space with a lot of sonorous diversity and very dear to me.

It is important to me that through the sound one can have very particular references of the spaces, a kind of soundscape.

Also the opportunity to download the sounds and be able to incorporate them to any kind of projects in the future.

Making a personal theme, trying to mix and converge the field recordings sonically coexist with the ones I make with the synthesizers, in a free piece for listening and downloading as well. For me it was like incorporating electronic sounds in an organic environment, created by field recordings and trying to match certain frequencies that insects evoke.

I feel very grateful to have had this residency at SER, a wonderful space, which cares about having the means, conversations and feedback necessary for creation. Creating a space of much love and friendship for paths to cross and share as well as disciplines and with them the collaboration.
